The chart panel can be opened either from the

  • Short key in the toolbar ribbon



Add Symbols-

To add symbols to the chart window, select any of the below mentioned options

  • Click on SELECT SYMBOL from the chart window
  • Right- click within the chart window and select SYMBOL LOOKUP
  • Link the watch list and the chartpanels, click on the scrip in watchlist to view the chart



Chart functions-

  • To expand charts, click on FULLSCREEN next to the symbol link (top right corner of the chart panel).
  • Zoom in/ zoom out of charts by using the scroll button on the mouse or by selecting the + - symbol placed at the
    right bottom of the panel
  • Adjust the vertical price scale of the chart by moving the mouse up and down the price axis and simultaneously click
    the left mouse button.
  • Move the mouse on the chart to view price data for a particular time- frame



Link watch- list to charts-

You can merge your watch list to the chart by selecting the SYMBOL LINK on the top right corner of the individual panel correspondingly.
To mergethe watch list with the chart panel, please ensure that the colour highlighted in the SYMBOL LINK is similar in both the panels.

  • Merging watch list to the chart panel has a number of benefits-
  • Allows users to view chartsof the particular scrip by clicking the scrip in the watchlist panel.
  • Permits one- touch trading directly from the chart window.
  • Allows access to mouse trading



Right click functions in the chart panel-

There are a variety of options for chart traders. All you have to do is right- click the mouse within the chart panel and select them.
Following are some of the functions and theiruses…..


1) Charting style-


Choose the chart you wish to use from a range of 7- different chart types



2) Info Window-

The info window can be adjusted to remain stationery, attached to the cursor or hidden from the panel.



3) Aggregation charts-

In addition to the conventional chart types, you can use some of the data aggregation charts from the library.



4) Data type-

Defines charts based on bid, ask, average of bid/ ask or the last price.



5) Overlays-

For comparative chart analysis, you can overlay additional charts in the chart panel. Click on SETTINGS to define data type,
charting style, time frame, price scale and bar colours. Toopen the overlay panel, right click in the chart panel, select‘Overlays’ from
the dropdown and ‘Add overlay.”



6) Indicators

To add indicators to your chart, highlight INDICTOR in the drop- down and select ADD INDICATORS. Choose from the extensive list
of indicators that include channels, oscillators, moving averages, trend, volatility and volume.

Use the default settings or select the parameter by hitting the SETTINGS button in the indicator window

Likewise, to get rid ofthe indicators, go to INDICATORS and click on the REMOVE ALL option.



7) Drawing tools-

This section is used to plot trendlines, Fibonacci and Gann series, circles, rectangles etc. You can also add a wide range of other
drawing tools to your chart analysis.

  • You can select charting tools from either of the following ways
  • Right- click on the chart panel and select DRAWING TOOLS
  • Select DRAWING TOOLS directly from the chart window



To customize trendlines, you can either double click or right- click on the trendline and select SETTINGS. Likewise, to delete
trendlines or other drawing tools, click on the line and hit the DELETE key.

Following are some of the key functions that can be used here

  • Synchronise trendlines with charts
  • Extend the trendline to the left/ right
  • Lock the location
  • Retain trendline in the background



8) Analysis tools:

A wonderful feature of this software, analysis tools can help you view prices, volumes, trade statistics and other trade related information.
Customize your settings before choosing the various methods of chart analysis.



  • ‘Price Statistics’ provides stats oftrades, volumes, average trade size etc.for a defined period.



  • ‘Volume Profile’ allows users to view volumes at different prices within a specific price range.



  • ‘Bar Statistics’ includes trades, volumes, trade size etc. for each bar/ time frame. Right- click at the bottom right corner
    of the chart panel and select the stats to analyse market movements. Data for individual bars can be viewed at the bottom
    of the chart panel.



  • ‘Volume Bar’ includes volumestatistics for different time periods.



  • ‘Time & Sales’ allows analyzing tick history in terms of each bar OR by price range selected on the chart. The selected bar
    or price range should not exceed one day.



  • Volume-weighted average price (VWAP) indicator is a benchmark tool to measure ratio of the value traded to total volume
    traded over an interval of time. The indicator is extremely helpful in indicating if the current price sentiment is bullish or bearish.




Mouse trading:

Place market, limit or stop orders directly with the one- click MOUSE TRADING.

To activate, click on the MOUSE ICON at the top right corner of the chart panel and place trades directly from the charts by selecting
the price and clicking the mouse. Before you begin mouse trading, set all your trading parameters such as lot size, trade type, stop
losses and target prices in order. The parameters can be viewed on the right of the chart panel.



Initiate LONG POSITIONS by using the left mouse button ORcreate short positionsby clicking the right mouse button.

To start placing trades,

  • Select the price by moving the mouse up and down in the chart panel and CLICK.
  • To place STOP orders, press the CTRL key
  • Go through the trade info in the order confirmation window.
  • Click YES to place tradesor NO to cancel.



Personalisingtrades from the chart panel:

Users can add/ cancel/ modify orders directly from the chart panel if the ‘mouse trading’ mode is deactivated.

Click to the extreme left on the individual orders on the chart panel and modify/ cancel them as highlighted in the figure below.
